Halloween and the Feast of All Saints

At this time, Catholics celebrate the day of All Saints, a tradition in which we commemorate those who are in Heaven. But times have changed, and now we also have another pagan holiday called Halloween, we all know where it comes,  Halloween has pagan origins. This celebration is credited to the Celts, and was originally called "Samhain", which among other hoes, was to worship the dead. The invasion of the Romans (46 BC) to the British Isles resulted in the mixture of Celtic culture with the traditions and customs of continental Europe. Druidry gradually decreased to evangelism, and eventually disappear.

I love celebrating all, but like Catholic Parents should also take care that halloween not replace the Solemnity of All Saints, feast reminds us that many saints in heaven, not only canonized. We recall the communion of saints, we are all called by God to be holy and a day to get to heaven.

In the School of children is celebrated as the feast of All Saints, children dress up as their favorite saint, in my case Nicolas, was dressed as St. Nicolas, Bishop, then Santa Claus would be.

I love to study the lives of the saints, in the end really forget Halloween, until the day comes to trick or treat and sweets, can not take that away from head to them.

I think we mustn't be scrupulous, we live in the world, and I think you have to explain it to the kids, Halloween is a pagan celebration, who dress something scary for them, get lollies and get to keep friends, after Catholics celebrate our party, going to Mass, remembering our loved ones, eating bones Saint, or fritters..

A if I hope that you spend a happy day of All Saints, we cook pumpkin pie, and neither eat many sweets, but above all be happy enjoy with the family!
